FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This is a private charter but the coast guard only allows 6 passengers. 

We will begin and end the trips at Montrose harbor Dock D #10

We are in Chicago so the weather can be difficult. The trip will go rain or shine as long as the captain see's it being safe. The boat has an enclosed cabin with heat to keep you out of the elements.

If we are doing a fishing trip, every person on the boat will need a current IL fishing license with a salmon stamp. You can buy them yourself online , or we do sell them on the boat $12EA for resident $17EA non resident

Clothes- bring a back pack with a little of everything. We could have 4 seasons in 1 day so hat, long pants, and a jacket, also shorts, t shirt, sunglasses, sunscreen and flip flops. just remember you can always take cloths off if your warm.

Food and drink- Always bring more than you think. Remember this is a party bring food and drinks in a cooler with ice. Alcohol is allowed, but please no glass bottles. Nothing Illegal.

If we are on a fishing trip we do offer fish cleaning. There is a charge of $2 per fish to clean and bag the fish. 

This is the service industry and just like in a restaurant or bar there is a customary 15%- 25% tip expected for the workers.  

The deposit will be taken on the web site by credit card. The remainder will be taken on the boat at the end of the trip. We accept cash or check. We all so will have a credit card machine on the boat. There is a 3% fee for the credit card. Remember in calculating your totals if you need to purchase fishing licenses, fish cleaning charge, and a tip for the crew.

We have all the latest in professional fishing equipment on the boat, so you do not need to bring any gear.

On our sight seeing tours your phones will work fine. If fishing and we are more than 4 miles off shore your phones will stop getting signal. We do not provide Wi-Fi.
